On one server I saw called Escape from the Underdark (in the RP section), it was impossible to see the amount of HP you got at level up, making it more randomized. Maybe you should consider this. Instead of the number at the end of the level up screens, it showed a question mark. I think that's a pretty good idea.

Yes, if you'd like mages to shrivel up and die when trying to level up and grind. Horrible idea and useful for only classes with high HD to begin with.

I agree with Zombie-apple, When mages farm by themselves at low lvls they will continue to die wihtout back up......so we need max HP rolls.

if mages are going to go train then either

A. i advise you find a person to train with
or
B. get the Sleep spell ans kill Fiends

Provided YOU dont fall asleep first. ^_^
